The recording artist and producer has been in hand-to-hand combat in the musical trenches since the Paisley Underground days of Green On Red. Since then Chuck’s solo career has included over a dozen releases as well as collaborations with Alejandro Escovedo, Tony Visconti, Jim Dickinson, and Kelly Willis, among others. With a terrific new record, “The Land That Time Forgot,” slated for an August release, he peers into the abyss of the unknown unknown and studies the tea leaves for signs of life. Fleas the size of rats may suck on rats the size of cats, but it’s going to take a lot more than that to keep this buoyant Diamond Dog down.
